What is Climate Change Levy Rate

The Climate Change Levy (CCL) is an environmental tax charged on businesses for the energy used. It encourages businesses to be more energy efficient in their operations, CCL is aimed to reduce the overall emissions that businesses produce. 

Climate Change Levy rates are calculated per KWh of usage and change over time.

CCL rates are calculated per kilowatt hour of usage and change over time and it is charged by suppliers of taxable commodities. The rates are reviewed every year.
All UK businesses need to pay, with a few exemptions. Speak to one of the team on 033322440500 to find out if you may be exempted.
Our in house specialist team will do a full on site analysis and review your processes and historical energy bills. If your business qualifies for a refund or relief, we would complete all necessary forms on your behalf and send them to your energy supplier and HMRC for approval.
If you are exempted on VAT because you qualify as a domestic energy user or are a registered charity, then no CCL will be charged to you.
